The Ten Qiraat Mushaf from the Paths of Ash-Shatibiyyah and Ad-Durrah
After years of reviewing and working with most of the available Qiraat Mushafs, this new Mushaf has been produced with a distinct presentation to enrich the global library of Quranic recitations.
This Mushaf stands out through several scholarly and design-related features:
Features:
- It brings together the differing words among the ten reciters within the verses, identifying who recited each version.
- It presents references from Ash-Shaṭibiyyah and Ad-Durrah by displaying only the relevant part of the line from each poem.
- It details the foundational rules (uṣul) found on each page for:
- Warsh: in badal, naql, lam, ra, and lin.
- Ḥamzah: in sukun (connected and separated forms).
- Makki’s variations.
- Abu Jafar’s nasalization (ikhfa).
- The replacement of hamzah.
Design Features:
- Marginal notes are written in the Uthmanic script.
- A different color is used for letters, markings, and diacritics wherever there is a variation among the reciters, or when presenting known taḥrirat (detailed recitation clarifications).
