Quran in the Narration of Shubah from Asim, through the Path of Ash-Shatibiyyah
This Quranic edition presents the noble text according to the narration of Shubah ibn Ayyash from Asim ibn Abi an-Najud. Shubah’s narration is one of the two authentic narrations from Imam Asim, the other being the more widespread narration of Hafs.
The Shubah narration is characterized by some differences in word pronunciation and Tajwid rules compared to the narration of Hafs. These variations enrich the diversity of Quranic recitations. The Ash-Shatibiyyah poem is a well-known classical text in the studies of Qiraat, in which Imam Ash-Shatibi compiled the seven canonical recitations, including the recitation of Asim through Shubah, making it a cornerstone in the study of Qiraat.
This Uthmanic script Mushaf provides reciters and students of Qiraat the opportunity to study the Shubah narration with precise rules of Tajwid. It enhances their understanding of the subtle differences within this narration when compared to others. This edition is ideal for readers who seek to expand their recitation styles and explore multiple Qiraat, while maintaining accuracy in performance and pronunciation.
